I feel like that guy on the Memorex commercial.
You know, this guy:
I suspect that a lot of you might be feeling a bit like that too, with all the WordCamp Portland 2010 info flying at you in the past week. Speakers, schedules, tickets, times, dates, whaaa? I thought I’d just break it [...]
WordCamp Portland Will Be Streamed
While it’s great that we have a sold out event for WordCamp Portland, it means that there are a lot of people who aren’t able to attend in person. Thanks to a new sponsor (more on the sponsor tomorrow), we’re now pleased to announce that we’ll be streaming as much of the event as possible. Blaze Streaming Media will be onsite to produce recordings and streams of speakers throughout the weekend.
Once we have the details on the broadcast of the stream we’ll post the information for those wanting to tune in.

That’s great news!
Hopefully they record the video they’re streaming and send a high quality result to WordPress.tv for inclusion.
This is great! I had thought that I would be in rehearsals all day both days, but when it turned out that I’d have part of Saturday free, I was disappointed that I didn’t know before the tickets sold out.
This will be a great way for those of us without tickets to experience the event. Also, it’s good for the sponsors, as even more eyeballs will be on the event that they’re helping fund.
Is there any updates on the schedule of this broadcast? How do I keep up with updates? RSS? Please inform me (I might be illiterate).
The stream will broadcast live during the event (see the agenda page). Once it’s online for viewing after the event, we’ll post an update on this blog.
That’s great news!
Is there going to be a fee for the streaming content?
No, the stream will be free.
