We’ve Been Logo-ed!

Posted By Aaron on August 24th, 2008

See up there? At the top of the website? (RSS readers will need to click through)…. we’ve got a logo!

The folks at Brash Creative put together a few logo designs and this one was selected. It was designed by Jason Tyler Burns to represent the intersection of WordPress and Portland.

Thanks to Jason, the rest of Brash, and Bram Pitoyo for helping to coordinate the design.

T-Shirt Sizing Clarification

Posted By Aaron on August 23rd, 2008

A few folks have had some questions about T-shirt sizing; here’s an update:

We’re now offering 3XL shirts as an option. If you haven’t yet registered, they’re now an option during the process. If you’ve already registered, and would like to change your shirt order to 3XL, contact Aaron and let him know.

A bit of further information on shirt sizing/brand. The shirts are Gilden men’s sizes, which tend to run a little big. If you were debating what size to order, this can be taken into consideration.

I’m excited to announce the schedule and registration information for WordCamp Portland.

WordCamp Portland will be held at CubeSpace on September 27th. You can head over to the Agenda page to check out the details, but we’ll kick things off with a couple large-group speakers including Lorelle Van Fossen as our keynote speaker. The middle of the day will feature several small-group breakout sessions with a variety of topics. Attendees can pose WordPress questions to our “Ask the Experts” panel before dinner. After dinner, we’ll have a bunch of rooms available for unconference-style sessions to be determined by the attendees on the day of the event.

We’re now accepting registrations for WordCamp Portland. The advance registration fee is $10 which includes lunch, dinner, a WordCamp Portland T-shirt, and entry into drawings for door prizes.

Several sponsors are supporting WordCamp. Please give them your thanks! We’re still looking for additional sponsors; if your group is interested please contact Kelly for more information.

Check out the FAQ page if you have questions, or feel free to leave a comment. We look forward to seeing you at WordCamp Portland!
